Drive with WASD or the arrow keys and reset with R or Enter. In the editor, R or Space rotates, Delete or X deletes, T tests, G picks, and the movement keys navigate the view.

Direct answer
What are the PolyTrack controls?
Use W or Up Arrow to accelerate, S or Down Arrow to brake, and A/D or Left/Right Arrow to steer. Press R or Enter to reset the current run. In the version 0.4 editor, R or Space rotates, Delete or X deletes, T tests, G picks, WASD or the Arrow keys move the view, Q/E rotate the view, and Z/C move it down or up.

A reliable track-building loop
- 1
Build a short section
Place a start and only a few connected pieces rather than laying out the entire course at once.
- 2
Check height and direction
Use WASD, the Arrow keys, Q/E, and Z/C to inspect each connection. Hold the height modifier when adjusting an elevated placement.
- 3
Press T to test
Drive the new section at normal speed and watch for gaps, impossible angles, or blind landings.
- 4
Return and fix one fault
Select the incorrect piece, delete it with X, and rebuild the connection.
- 5
Extend only after a clean run
Short test cycles prevent one early alignment error from affecting the rest of the course.
PolyTrack control questions
How do I restart a PolyTrack run?
Press R or Enter to reset the current attempt.
How do I test a custom track?
Press T in the editor, drive the newest section, and return to edit any failed connection.
How do I delete a track piece?
Select the piece and press Delete or X. Check the selection before deleting so you do not remove a neighboring section.
Why do some control lists differ?
Hosted PolyTrack builds can use different versions. Eovant currently links the Joe-The-Chicken 0.4 build, which is the scope of this guide.
