Find a Palworld breeding combo in two directions
Use Parents → Child when you already have two Pals in your Palbox and want to know the egg result. Use Find parents for a Pal when you are chasing a target species and want the full set of direct routes. Each route is calculated from the same versioned table, so you do not have to cross-reference an old spreadsheet with a different patch.
Multi-Generation Route Planner (Breeding Tree)
Looking to breed top-tier Pals like Anubis, Astegon, or Jetragon but lacking the direct parents in your current Palbox? Switch to the Route Planner tab. Our breadth-first pathfinding algorithm will trace the shortest 1-generation and 2-generation breeding routes using only the Pals you currently have captured, and recommend "Bridge Pals" to quickly bridge the gap.
Special Combinations & Work Suitability Filters
164 Pals in Palworld can only be bred via explicit, unique parent pairings that override the generic rank formula (such as Grizzbolt × Relaxaurus = Orserk). Use the Special Combos & Work Skills browser to discover every unique recipe, or filter the roster by Level 4 Handiwork, Level 4 Mining, or Level 4 Kindling to instantly identify and breed your ideal base workers.
How the Palworld breeding formula works
Regular pairs use the hidden CombiRank average from the bundled game-data export: the target rank is the rounded-down average of both parents, then the closest Pal in the generic breeding pool wins. Exact special combinations override that formula. Same-species pairs breed true, and the Katress × Wixen pair is shown with explicit genders because its two directions produce different variants.
Palworld breeding calculator FAQ
What does the Palworld breeding calculator calculate?
It resolves the deterministic species result for two selected parents, searches the complete local table for every direct pair that produces a target Pal, and plans multi-generation breeding routes (breeding trees) using your custom Palbox inventory.
How do multi-generation breeding paths (breeding trees) work?
When you don't own direct parents for an endgame Pal (like Anubis, Astegon, or Jormuntide), multi-generation breeding crosses intermediate 'bridge' Pals first. The Route Planner automatically calculates the shortest 1-gen and 2-gen paths using only Pals currently in your Palbox.
What are the best Pals to breed early in Palworld?
Anubis (Level 4 Handiwork, Level 3 Mining) is the #1 priority Pal to breed early, easily obtainable via pairs like Penking + Bushi or Relaxaurus + Celaray. Other top utility targets include Astegon (Level 4 Mining), Jormuntide (Level 4 Watering), and Jetragon (fastest mount).
Can passive skills and traits be inherited through breeding?
Yes. Offspring can inherit passive traits (such as Artisan, Work Slave, Swift, Runner, Musclehead, Ferocious, and Legend) from either parent, or mutate new traits. Breeding allows players to stack up to four desired Tier 3 gold passives onto worker and mount Pals.
Does parent gender matter in Palworld breeding?
A Breeding Farm needs one male and one female Pal. Most species results are unchanged when the parents swap gender, but Katress and Wixen are the important exception: Katress female plus Wixen male produces Katress Ignis, while Katress male plus Wixen female produces Wixen Noct.
How do I use a breeding result in Palworld?
Put one male and one female parent into a Breeding Farm, keep a Cake in the farm chest, collect the egg, and hatch it in an Egg Incubator. The calculator answers which species the pair can produce; it does not replace the in-game breeding steps.
